The Symposium was held over the weekend of 11 - 13 Nov 2016 at Plas y Brenin, Capel Curig. The format was fairly similar to the successful event held there in 2011. Lectures were held in the mornings followed by workshops sessions in the afternoons, and attendees could choose from a range of workshops to suit their interests and experience.

Comfortable overnight bed and breakfast accommodation was available in the centre on Friday and Saturday nights, with a dinner on Saturday evening. There was lots of networking time built into the programme, making it an ideal opportunity to meet up with friends, make new contacts and discuss touring plans for the next trip.

This was a joint event arrranged by the Alpine Club, the Eagle Ski Club and the Alpine Ski Club.

In addition, Plas y Brenin has more accommodation than seats in the lecture theatre, so we opened up the spare rooms to members and guests who were not attending the symposium but would like to have a weekend in the heart of Snowdonia.
